Emma is a graduate of New York University and the University of Virginia where she was a Henry Hoyns Fellow and received her M.F.A. in creative writing. Her first novel came out in 2010 and her second book will be released by Riverhead in Spring 2016. She is the recipient of a Christopher Isherwood grant in fiction, and her work can be found in the Virginia Quarterly Review and on the NewYorker.com. She has also taught creative writing at WriterHouse and UVA’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies. She enjoys desserts, warm weather, and desserts.
